Here, you will make an impact by:Developing analytical technology to address critical characterization needs for bio-materials and understanding of the chemistry and bio-activities in complex biological systemsInteracting with researchers across the company to characterize new product concepts and processes, and identifying differentiated features leading to new intellectual property.Act as a core member of a team of researchers driving fundamental understanding of new product performance and rapid response to manufacturing issues.Plan and execute analyses of materials using state-of-the-art instrumentation, software tools, and statistical understanding; writing technical reports to document and communicate results.Act as a visible technology leader both internally and externally to the company.Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or higher AND three (3) years of experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, and/or commodity materials setting.ORPh.D. DegreeAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Materials Science, or related fields from an accredited institutionThree (3) years of experience performing gas-chromatography analysis in a private, public, government, or military environmentHands-on experience and expertise in chromatography techniques and associated method development, including GC-MS, GC-FID, and Headspace GC. Additional experience in liquid chromatography, LC-MS, and Gerstel MPS (TD, DHS) is a plus.Ability to work independently to complete projects, as well as work with cross-functional teams.Familiarity with the general chemical and materials characterization techniques.Results-oriented individual with strong execution skills.Work location:Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Solventum labs in Maplewood, MN)Travel: May include up to 5% domestic/internati nalRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-beingSolventum offers many programs to help you live your best life - both physically and financially.
