Here, you will make an impact by:Working closely with customers to capture their needs and creatively translate them into solutions that are either existing products or actionable requirements for new products.Be an advocate for the customer within the 3M organization to meet development timelines and build schedules.Maintain/strengthen relationship with key account customer thru regular visits, training, and tech events.Be a member of global cross functional new product development teams.Developing, supervising and performing product evaluations to demonstrate product performance for our customers.Understanding, develop and defend intellectual property in display materials.Communicating (oral and written) effectively with our customers and team members.Coach junior application engineers to work effectively with our customers and with 3M product development teams.Other duties as assigned.Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelors degree or higher in engineering/science field (completed and verified prior to start)Three (3) years of industrial experience in a private, public, government or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Bachelor degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Science, Material Science, Physics or a related discipline from an accredited universityDemonstrated mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsExperience with consumer electronic (LCD ,OLED and ARVR) display designExperience and knowledge of consumer electronic manufacturing and assembly processesExperience in translating customer demands into the technical aspects of applicationsStrong process improvement skills and deep understanding of controls and complianceProficiency in Microsoft Office software applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and TeamsDetail-oriented, with the ability to independently manage workload in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to integrate quickly into a small team technical teamStrong customer relations and interpersonal skills.
