Here, you will make an impact by:Support and contribute as a technical lead for discovery and new product development activities with an expertise in inorganic chemistry, material science and/or ceramicsFundamentals in inorganic chemistry to leverage product formulations and effects of materials on natural weatheringCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex problems and to apply/implement new or modified chemistriesWillingness to be flexible across functions and explore new areas for roofing granule technologyYour Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Masters degree or higher in Chemistry and/or Material Science (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionThree (3) years of inorganic chemistry, material science and/or ceramics in a private, public, government or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Ph.D. in Chemistry, Ceramics or Materials Science degree or higher from an accredited institutionData science and/or programming skills to analyze dataWork location:Maplewood, MNTravel: May include up to 20% domesticRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life both physically and financially. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
