Interns typically work a full-time schedule throughout a 10-12 week assignment during the summer of 2025. Interested candidates should include a resume as part of their application.The Impact You'll Make in this RoleAs a Software Engineer Intern (with Data Science/Analytics focus/Minor), you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:Collaborating with Research & Development team members to design, test and implement new software application(s) or enhance existing ones in support of our core business groupsPlaying a key role in developing application prototypes by helping capture stakeholder requirements, implementing algorithms, writing code, and conducting user acceptance testingWorking closely with a team of computer scientists, engineers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, contribute to brainstorming sessions and provide input into the development processGaining experience with building AWS infrastructure-as-code in a corporate setting and supporting existing CI/CD pipeline automationYour Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institutionANDIn addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:Experience with computer science or computer engineering course work and prior internship experience consideredExperience with at least one computer programming language such as C , C#, Java, Perl or GoExperience with data science/analytics course work or prior internship experience consideredAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Considering or pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science and/or Data Science from an accredited institutionExperience with software version control systems such as Git/GitHubExperience with Machine Learning, Statistical Learn ng, Data Mining, or equivalentExperience with software coding best practices such as Peer-programing, Xtreme Programming, Agile DevelopmentExperience with various programming languages used in the data science field such as Python, R and SQL course work and prior internship experience considered (truly a nice to have)Good communication skills (both oral and written)Work location: Near Hybrid (Minnesota-based)Onsite: Maplewood, MNRelocation: not authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-beingSolventum offers many programs to help you live your best life - both physically and financially.
