Job Title: Aircraft Mechanic

Job Description

Join our team as an Aircraft Mechanic at Ascent Aviation Services, a Class IV 14 CFR Part 145 certified repair station. We specialize in comprehensive aircraft maintenance across a variety of fleet sizes, including narrow and wide body, small to large, regional to long-haul aircraft. You will be responsible for researching technical data and performing various tasks such as disassembly, repair, cleaning, adjustment, assembly, testing, and calibration of aircraft components using specialized tools and equipment in accordance with maintenance manuals, FAA regulations, and company policies. Your role also includes repairing, replacing, and rebuilding aircraft structures and functional components, as well as adjusting, repairing, or replacing electrical wiring systems and aircraft accessories.

Hard Skills

  • Aircraft component disassembly and assembly

  • Aircraft structure repair

  • Electrical wiring system adjustment and repair

  • Use of ground servicing equipment including tugs, tractors, hi-lifts, trucks, servicing carts, and test equipment

  • Use of hand tools, rivet guns, drills

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 4 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Marana, Arizona.

Work Environment

This role requires sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods, frequent bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and reaching above shoulder level. Occasional crawling, climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling weight up to 50 pounds unassisted. Work is primarily in an aircraft maintenance hangar with exposure to high intensity noise levels, extreme temperature changes, materials identified on Safety Data Sheets, working at heights, and around moving machinery. Protective equipment required includes goggles, safety glasses, face shields, ear protection, aprons, gloves, and safety harnesses.
