Grant County Government Offices Case Processor in Marion, Indiana

Primary Responsibilities: ? Provide telephone support to entire office. ? Reviews legal/court documents for completeness, accuracy and compliance with applicable time limitations, costs and court procedures and determines appropriate procedural requirement for processing. ? Prepares and issues a wide variety of court and legal documents. Researches case files, records, databases and other sources of information to insure accuracy of case data and resolve discrepancies. ? Enters case data into automated case management systems; prepares and maintains case files and records. ? Regular contacts are with judges, attorneys, litigants, law enforcement officials to provide case processing support. ? Any other tasks/duties as assigned. Skills and Abilities Required: ? Detail-oriented - ability to manage multiple projects/assignments at one time o Solid commitment to customer service with excellent listening and communications skills. o Must be able to maintain a professional demeanor at all times. o Ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute o Proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Outlook) Minimum Education and Experience Required: ? High school diploma or GED or relevant work experience o Minimum of 1 year professional experience Hazardous Materials or Equipment Used: ? All Office Equipment Physical Requirements: ? Works in an office environment, within a well-lighted work area with good ventilation and normal noise levels from office equipment. o Frequent standing and/or walking; may have long periods of sitting at desk and intermittently answer the telephone. o Regular need to write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. o Some lifting between 5 to 20 lbs. may be required.
