IBM Associate Delivery Consultant - Data Security in Markham, Ontario

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Scoping, Planning, Design and Implementation of IBM Guardium Portfolio solutions

  • Managing delivery of services as per scope specified in Statement of Work

  • Provide deep technical expertise to ensure IBM Guardium Portfolio solutions are deployed and operating to deliver the technical and business results required by the customer

  • To act as a trusted client advisor to customers

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements for Data Security

  • Some experience delivering Data Security consulting and deployment projects

  • Experience in performing and supporting projects in one or more Data Security domain

  • Data security and monitoring

  • Vulnerability assessment of data repositories

  • Sensitive data discovery and classification

  • Database user entitlement

  • An understanding of data security compliance directives and mandates

  • Proven experience in delivering end-to-end solutions, including design, development, integration, and ongoing support

  • Strong technical knowledge of system implementations and migrations

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex client challenges

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients

  • Experience in project management and ensuring successful delivery of projects on time and within budget

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with SQL language

  • Experienced with some database environments such as Oracle, Informix, SQL Server, UDB/DB2, Informix, MySQL, Teradata and/or Sybase.

  • Experience working in UNIX/Linux environments.

  • Experience working in Distributed environments.

  • Experience working in Cloud environments (Azure, AWS, Google)

  • An understanding of Enterprise architecture

  • An understanding of Cloud architecture

  • An Understanding of Network concepts

  • Data encryption and tokenization

  • Familiarity with SOX, PCI-DSS, and GLBA audit processes
