Role reports to: Customer Enabling Leader

Location: Markham, Canada

Travel %: 10%

What You Will Do

In this role, you have responsibility for elevating Category Solutions as a key capability within the organization - crafting future-forward category growth solutions that drive joint value for consumers, retailers and Kenvue. You will lead a team in enhancing shopping experiences and retail partnerships that drive executional excellence and improve our physical availability. You will provide coaching to translate insights into recommendations for online and offline shelf solutions. With an outside-in focus, you will promote consumer/customer-obsession and enable brilliant customer execution by bringing category insights and expertise into the organization. A high degree of connectivity, partnership and influence with Global partners will be essential to the role to support Category Visioning and Category Leadership within the Canadian organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the department through mentorship and development of people to drive category growth, with a disproportionate focus on priority customers and categories.

  • Continue to refine a Category Solutions growth enabling roadmap and structure that evolves with business needs, differentiates Kenvue and enhances our competitiveness today and in the future.

  • Prioritize and deploy resources to deliver clear customer and category growth strategies.

  • Support achievement of Company business plans by influencing retailers to optimize physical & digital shelves and provide thought leadership on critical category/shopper design.

  • Be a trusted and unbiased category partner that brings strong thought leadership to Kenvue and our retailers.

  • Champion category and customer insights with internal colleagues to build proactive solutions and retailer-specific category initiatives.

  • Identify local insight needs to drive stronger retail influence and disproportionate support for Kenvue brands in market.

  • Act as a deeply embedded business partner for key stakeholder groups such as Customer Development, Squad, Customer Enabling, Customer Strategy and Perfect Store to drive success against goals and strengthen influence with retailers.

  • Partner with Global Category and Shopper Insight teams to deepen category expertise; coordinate impactful category recommendations and best-practice sharing and apply with local colleagues or retailers

  • Attract and retain the best talent through building an environment of inclusion, psychological safety, trust & growth

  • Deliver thought leadership and demonstrate an enterprise-wide perspective as a valued Sales Leadership Team member

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelors degree is required.

  • A minimum 6 years of relevant experience in CPG with a focus on category management, customer strategy, and/or direct sales experience

  • A strong understanding of Canadian marketplace and retailers

  • Highly effective influencing skills, with proven ability to collaborate effectively across functions.

  • Proven ability to build strong relationships across levels and functions internally and externally.

  • High intellectual curiosity on broader business and market/industry trends.

  • Success managing and adjusting to multiple competing priorities under tight timelines.

  • Ability to thrive in a matrixed environment where priorities change rapidly, and high complexity is evident.

  • Strong ability to lead through ambiguity, shape new outcomes and drive action

  • Proven leadership and delivery of consistently strong results

  • Valid driver’s license is required.

Desired Qualifications

  • An MBA or a Specialization in Business Administration, Marketing is an asset.

  • Previous experience working within Consumer-Packaged Goods or within Retail Industry preferred.
