Business Unit Overview

8th Avenue Food & Provisions is a growing organization made up of businesses that produce and sell quality products including pasta, peanut butter, granola, and fruit and nut trail mixes to retail, foodservice and ingredient customers. The company was formed in October 2018 through a combination of Post Holdings’ private brands businesses and is owned by Post Holdings and funds affiliated with Thomas H. Lee Partners, L.P. (“THL”), a private equity firm. Responsibilities 8th Avenue Food & Provisions is a leading manufacturer of private brand and branded food products. We supply organic and conventional products in four major categories Nut Butters, Pasta, Granola and Fruit & Nuts. We are a small plant with a big heart with a warm, friendly and positive work environment. We make the best private label peanut butter for our customers by roasting and grinding peanuts combined with other raw ingredients that flow to a 1 fully automated line consisting of a filler, capper, labeler and pallet wrapper, and then shipped out all over the world! Location 30 Citizen Court Drive, Markham Shift: M-F 2pm-10pm plus weekend overtime work Unionized Plant: Pay rate is $18.80/hr OT after 40 hours Double pay on Stat Holidays Double pay on 7th day of work 5 paid sick days per year $175 annual safety shoe reimbursement Position Summary: Loading pallets, operating of filling machine, cappers, coders, sealers and tray packing machines. Responsible for checking seals and also recording the packaging lot codes. Visual inspection of packaging materials and reporting any abnormalities to Shift supervisor, QA and Maintenance. Packers substitute for each other.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment • Responsible for loading peanut butter cases onto pallets • Responsible for ensuring the correct labels are on the pallet for shipping • Responsible for the start up, and shut down of the machine • Responsible for monitoring finished peanut butter jars conveyor as they go to be packed on trays • Responsible for operating filling machine, cappers, coders, sealers, and tray packing machines • Responsible for checking/monitoring seals and recording lot codes • Removing damaged or improper jars and all abnormalities • Responsible for referring to SOPs • Responsible for checking formulas according to the production schedule • Responsible for weighing ingredients • Responsible for dumping ingredients into hoppers • Responsible for notifying supervisor and material handler when running low on ingredients to switch pallets • Responsible for frequently performing quality checks • Responsible for ensuring all production documentation is completed and recorded • Responsible for aiding in sanitation • Must adhere to all company health and safety, and food safety policies, rules and regulations • All positions within Golden Boy Foods Ltd are mandated to adhere to Good Manufacturing (GMP) and uphold food safety standards. • Other general duties as assigned such as material handling Education And Experience Required: • High School Diploma or GED • Experience in manufacturing environment • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide at a grade 10 level • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

• Experience in a food manufacturing facility with liquid filling experience is a definite asset • Ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm • An organizes problem solver, able to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
