Cajun Tex Restaurant Cashier - Day And Evening Shift Available - Marshall in MARSHALL, Texas
**Cajun Tex, voted Marshall's Hometown Best in several categories, is now seeking a cashier to join our team.
Job duties may include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Customer service:Greet customers, answer questions, and provide information about products.Cashiers should also resolve concerns and help customers find what they're looking for.
- Cash handling:Operate the cash register, accept cash and credit card payments, and make change.Cashiers should also count and balance the cash drawer at the end of each shift.
- Point of sale (POS) systems:Use POS systems to process orders, enter amounts owed, and maintain records.Cashiers should be able to accurately process payments.
- Transactions:Keep track of all transactions, including cash, check, and credit.Cashiers should also process returns and exchanges.
- Inventory:Stock shelves and maintain inventory levels.Cashiers should also make sure products are properly labeled with the correct price.
- Work environment:Keep the checkout area clean and organized.
- Other tasks:Assist other restaurant staff as needed.
To be successful in this role, cashiers should have good customer service skills, knowledge of cash registers, and basic math and finance skills.
