Pearle Vision Staff Accountant in Mason, Ohio

West Point Optical Group is a 10-year-old optical franchise with ownership of over 90 Pearle Vision stores within Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, Indiana, Colorado, Florida, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Nebraska, Georgia, and New Jersey.   Staff Accountant Role West Point Optical is looking for a staff accountant for a growing optical franchisee in the heart of Cincinnati Ohio. The Staff Accountant will be engaged with supporting the financial operations for 90+ Pearl Vision franchises, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills, a positive attitude, and motivation to learn and grow.   Responsibilities: * Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement. * Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. * Reconcile balance sheet accounts. * Month end close journal entries and reconciliation. * Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable. * Oversee inventory counts, inventory valuation, and cost of goods sold analysis. * Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements. * Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. * Responsible for supporting all corporate reporting * Utilize ERP systems for financial reporting and analysis. * Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: * #1 Skill – Advanced skills in Microsoft Office including Excel (Advanced Formulas, Tables & Formatting, Conditional Formatting, Advanced Charting, Pivot tables & Pivot Reporting, VLOOKUP, etc). * Recent college graduate to five years+ experience * Strong motivation to learn and contribute to the team with a positive attitude. * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience (plus if candidate has CPA or CMA but not required) * Proficiency in accounting software (specifically NetSuite). * Strong bias for action with ability to prioritize, multi-task, follow-up, and execute responsivities on-time. * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. * Strong organizational skills and self-starter * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * High level of accuracy and attention to detail. * In-office applicants only * Salary to be determined based on qualifications If you are interested in learning more about this great opportunity, please apply now.
