JUNEAU CO GOVT CSP Mental Health Therapist in MAUSTON, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: The purpose of this position is to provide mental health therapy and Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse (AODA) counseling to assigned consumers of Juneau County Department of Human Services\' Community Support Program (CSP), including providing case management for assigned CSP consumers. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND GENERAL STATEMENTOF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Write in-depth assessments, diagnose mental health conditions, and develop, implement and oversee individualized treatment plans for clients. Provide supportive psychotherapy, insight oriented therapy, and symptom assessment/management for Community Support Program (CSP) clients. Facilitate the treatment of and maintain the Severe and Persistent Mental Illness (SMPI) population within the community, acting as Case Manager. As assigned, provide 24-hour crisis intervention and evaluate the need for psychiatric hospitalization. Provide psychoeducation, support, and consultation to families and Adult Family Home (AFH) or Community Based Residential Facility (CBRF) staff. Act as liaison to hospital staff to coordinate treatment of CSP clients. Facilitate Chapter 51 and 55 commitments and protective placements, acting as liaison with legal system. Oversee CSP related activities of other agency staff, providing direction and guidance. Act as liaison to facilitate referrals to CSP, and coordinate client services, both internally and with outside agencies. Assume responsibility for a high level of teamwork including participating in meetings and staffings. Document client related contacts including treatment plans, progress notes, etc. Attend in-services and trainings related to CSP and other agency services. Assume responsibilities in coordinating appropriate living arrangements for assigned CSP clients. Complete other duties as assigned, including providing mental health therapy/substance abuse counseling to assigned clinic patients. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Master\'s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy or psychology from an accredited graduate school. 3,000 hours of supervised experience preferred; with current license of LCSW, LPC, or LMFT. Unlicensed applicants must obtain one of these licenses within 3 years of hire date and will be asked to sign a pre-employment agreement with Juneau County. Must possess a valid driver\'s license, access to a reliable vehicle and current vehicle insurance. Preferred additional license of SAC-IT/SAC/CSAC in the State of Wisconsin. Applicants without SAC/CSAC or ability to provide & bill for substance abuse treatment services must obtain such license/ability within 7 years of hire date. May be required to obtain Intoxicated Driver Program training. Knowledge of social work theory and practices. Knowledge of social, psychological, and biological problems affecting individual\'s mental health. Knowledge of DSM-V and use for assessing and diagnosis. Knowledge of community treatment theories and practices for people with long term mental illness. Ability to do in-depth assessments, develop diagnostic impressions, and write individualized treatment plans. Ability to establish good rapport with clients. Ability to work with others internally and externally. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Ability to give direction and guidance to other agency staff.
