Commander, Navy Installations Wait Staff (Bogey's) in Mayport Naval Station, Florida

Summary This position is located in Bogey's, Windy Harbor Golf Club House, in the Food and Beverage Division of the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Department, Naval Station Mayport in Jacksonville, FL. The purpose of this position is to perform table service functions, or when opening the facility, may perform similar service in the bar area. Responsibilities Take food and drink (non-alcoholic and alcoholic) orders from the patrons and process through the Point of Sale (POS) register. Deliver said food and drink as required. This may require placing food and beverages on a small tray, in order to transport efficiently. When the patron(s) leave, clean and prepare the table for the next patron(s). Deliver dirty food dishes and glasses to either the dishwashing station or the station behind the bar all while maintaining a clean work area. Deliver receipt for the food and drink consumed to the customer and have them pay the cashier or person staged behind the bar. The Waiter/Waitress may collect payment from the patrons when drinks are served. May dispense bottled beverages and confections or serve any items on request of the patron. Performs preparations for the day's activities to support the proper delivery of condiments with the food. The incumbent scheduled to open the facility will be required to cover the dining and bar areas for a limited amount of time. Serving items such as beers and may require the preparation of a limited variety of alcoholic drinks by selecting proper premix and garnish. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Must be 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages. Must have knowledge of wait staff duties and maintain a high standard of sanitation, courtesy, and expeditious service. Must be able to compute cash charges and make change. Must pass the Serve Safe Alcohol course. May be required to pass CPR/First Aid Training. Education This position does not have a positive education requirement.
