Overview Reporting to the Controller, the Receptionist/Accounts Payable Clerk will be the first impression of Metalcraft whether on the phone or in person, while taking ownership over vendor relationship management in Accounts Payable. The candidate will deliver a professional first impression to all guests. This person has excelled analytical thought processes, exceptional relationship skills, forward thinking, and willing to make an impact by using technologies to reinforce internal efficiencies and provide value added services for the organization. Greet and Welcome guests as soon as they arrive in the office Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor guestbook, issue visitor badges) Entry of Vendor Invoices and Credit Memos Process Check and Wire Payments to Vendors and Employees Reconcile and Post Petty Cash Report and Post Sales Tax Payable Accomplish Accounting and Organization Mission by Completing Assignments as Needed Protect Organizations Value by Keeping Information Confidential Other duties as assigned Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Clear and precise communication skills Excellent attention to detail Organizational skills Time Management and ability to prioritize different tasks and projects Education and/or Experience Associate degree in accounting or prior accounts payable experience (2-3 years) Experience in SAP accounting system preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office products Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, production schedules, purchase orders, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports, procedure manuals, and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of specifications and information furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
