Job Description:

Technical Writer/Administrative Specialist will provide Technical writing and administrative support to the M26/Intelligence Enterprise Management Office (IEMO). This position may require occasional overtime and flexibility in work hours to meet project deadlines. The role may involve some travel as needed for project-related activities.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Technical Writing:

  • Create, edit, and maintain technical documentation including user manuals, system documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather information and ensure accuracy of technical content

  • Translate complex technical information into clear and concise documentation accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Ensure sites and service diagrams are formatted correctly and inserted

Administrative Support:

  • Provide administrative support to senior staff including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and coordinating travel arrangements

  • Prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence for internal and external distribution

  • Maintain organized filing systems and databases to ensure efficient document management

Quality Assurance:

  • Review and revise documents for grammar, clarity, consistency, and adherence to organizational standards

  • Conduct quality checks on documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance

  • Proven experience as a technical writer or in a similar role, demonstrating strong writing skills and attention to detail

  • Experience in providing administrative support such as scheduling, correspondence management, and travel arrangements

  • Proficiency in using document editing and publishing tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat)

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Defense or Government contracting environments

  • Familiarity with SharePoint or other document management systems

  • Experience with graphics and illustration software for creating visual aids in documentation

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, or a related field or five years equivalent

Physical and Environmental Conditions :

Travel 5% CONUS.
