Job Description

The Transportation Assistant Manager will coordinate the shipment of special orders and stock orders to all stores and guests. They will follow up with stores and guests to ensure accurate arrival and placement of product prior to dispatching. This manager would also develop resolutions for any issues and implement the appropriate action plans.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the shipment of special orders and stock orders to all stores and guests.

  • Follow up with stores and guests to ensure accurate arrival and placement of product prior to dispatching

  • Act as a liaison to follow up with system failures and delivery deficiencies.

  • Constantly monitor work to ensure the highest level of quality

  • Identify problem trends (single site or overall) pro-actively

  • Execute action plan(s) to determine problem, development resolution and implement

  • Follow established processes for problem handling or resolution

  • Assist team members and managers in resolving logistics problems that may arise

  • Coordinate with outside logistics vendors to ensure timely pickup and delivery of products

Skills/Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Operations or 3-5 years of relevant experience in a transportation management setting

  • Comprehensive understanding of DOT Rules and Regulation

  • Able to communicate effectively

  • Attention to detail / accuracy

  • Exceptional customer services skills required
