KPMG is currently seeking an Advisory Associate for our Federal Technology Enablement practice in Consulting.

Responsibilities:

  • Software Engineer that will develop technical solutions across various platforms and technologies that may include but are not limited to developing, configuring, testing, validating and quality assurance of engineered code

  • Utilize processes and leading practices to plan and execute delivery of technology enabled engagements for our federal clients and work with stakeholders to manage risks, set expectations and ensure successful delivery of project scope

  • Rapidly learn and develop skills in utilizing cloud computing and storage resources and other on-prem and cloud native services for data acquisition, management, digital transformation, model development and deployment

  • Assist in the technical process from ideation to delivery: Research, experiment and utilize leading data platforms and container methodologies to migrate and/or scale cloud data solutions

  • Develop skills in building and managing production-ready product life cycles, continuous delivery and automation pipelines (DevOps/MLOps), orchestration and model management in cloud environments

  • Support delivery of client solutions using analytics, exploratory data analysis, data wrangling and ETL; Perform operations to prepare data for analysis (data cleansing, data integration, data transformation)

  • Help assess readiness and impact to develop solutions leveraging emerging and disruptive technologies (AI, neural networks, cognitive computing)

  • Perform explanatory data analyses, generate and test working hypotheses, prepare and analyze historical data and identify patterns

Qualifications:

  • Must be pursuing and have obtained by the start date or have completed the following degrees/majors in the past 12 months; Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Systems or IT related Engineering, or equivalent program from an accredited college or university

  • Must have a current/most recent GPA of 3.00 or above

  • Ability to work with a client to understand available resources and constraints to provide creative and innovative solutions to business problems

  • Comfortable coding in one or more of the following programming languages with minimal oversight Javascript/Typescript, HTML, CSS, Java, Python, R, React and open source packages/libraries preferred.

  • Experience with SQL to include skills and working knowledge of relational database such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL is preferred

  • Comfortable coding end-to-end workflows by using both front-end and back-end technologies

  • Basic understanding of development tools and team methodologies (Agile, git, test driven development, CI/CD release management)

  • Strong communication, time management and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high quality work

  • Applicant must be eligible for or possess a U.S. Government Security clearance

  • Must reside within a commutable distance of the office for this position and be responsible for your own transportation, such as personal vehicle or public transportation, to get to and from office / client locations to satisfactorily fulfill your job duties, as determined by your practice leadership

  • Work location may be in the office, at client sites, or virtual/remote depending on business need. You must be located within the U.S. when working remotely. Client site locations may require travel and overnight/extended stay.
