Job Purpose

As a Modern Work Copilot Technical Specialist (Copilot TS), you will be at the forefront of the customers’ AI journey; helping customer’s embrace, expand and adopt Copilot for Microsoft 365, Copilot Studio, Microsoft Teams Meetings, Teams Premium, Frontline Worker, Viva and other associated technologies. You will sharpen your technical expertise and broaden your understanding of the extended ecosystem of solutions, ensuring seamless integration and maximum impact. This role is your gateway to accelerate your career growth, where you will not only enhance your technical skills but also deepen your business acumen, positioning you as a leader in the transformative journey of AI.

Your main goal is to win the technical decision of customers to purchase and use our technology. You will work in a team, enabling the customers through digital transformation by leveraging the Modern Workplace of Microsoft 365. Copilot TSs are expected to be able to both own and win the customers’ technical decisions, as well as find new opportunities through their contacts and work they are on for salespeople to further pursue. As a Copilot TS, you work within a virtual team of technical, partner and consulting resources to help educate your customers at a technical level, demonstrate, and prove our solutions, and win the technical decision allowing the team to achieve/exceed quarterly Microsoft 365 suite, Copilot for Microsoft 365, Copilot Studio, Microsoft Teams Meetings, Teams Premium, Frontline Worker, and Viva sales/usage targets in your accounts. Being part of this team will allow you to maintain and develop your deep technical expertise across Microsoft and non-Microsoft cloud-based infrastructure technologies.

This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home.

Responsibilities

  • Scale Copilot’s and Teams Customer Engagements: You will reach out to customers proactively and independently using knowledge of customer context; expertise in Copilot for Microsoft 365, Copilot Studio, Microsoft Teams Meetings, Teams Premium, depth knowledge in Frontline Worker enablement and Viva solutions; along with other technical and industry knowledge. Leading technical discussions with customers and establishing rules of engagement (e.g., role boundaries, handoff strategies) for extended teams including partners and CSU, leveraging knowledge of processes (e.g., Managed Service Provider [MSP], Managed Certified Professional [MCP]), tools, and programs (e.g., FastTrack, customer investment funding [ECIFs]) and leveraging foundational knowledge of resources (e.g., roles, Microsoft Technology Center, demo sites, virtual sites).

  • Build Strategy for Copilot’s and Teams: You will provide strategic, technical, and partner input based on Microsoft capability at the account level, leveraging knowledge of partners, open-source solutions, and competitors in the Copilot for Microsoft 365, Copilot Studio, Microsoft Teams Meetings, Teams Premium, Frontline Worker enablement and Viva solutions space. You will take knowledge of customer feedback, specific Microsoft Teams solutions, and their context in a competitive landscape and delivering core competitive knowledge back to engineering teams to enhance Microsoft Teams and Copilot capabilities and to develop compete strategies.

  • Solution Design and Proof of Concept for Copilot’s and Teams: You will demonstrate (e.g., Architectural Design Sessions, and Proof of Concept sessions) Copilot for Microsoft 365, Copilot Studio, Microsoft Teams Meetings, Teams Premium, Frontline Worker enablement and Viva solutions, services, and integration; presenting and applying architecture patterns for design, development, configuration, and deployment/adoption/governance planning; applying sales methodologies (e.g., MCEM); leveraging partner/customer teams as needed.

  • Change Management and Adoption: Copilot TS needs to drive adoption and change management by developing a clear strategy and execution plan e.g., readiness assessments, value realisation and optimisation.

  • Capability in conducting pilots to confirm the Copilot for M365 strategy and value proposition, preparing the environment for deployment, and defining enterprise deployment programs.

  • Collaborator and orchestrator: You will work in a v-team and drive technical solutions to drive the success of customers and Microsoft.

  • Education: You will proactively identify learning gaps; monitoring & responding to internal tech community posts, attending community calls, sessions, hackathons, etc. Practicing expertise by communicating with customers, partners, and senior colleagues to expand knowledge of architecture and demonstrating new and updated Copilot for Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams products and services.

  • Leverage Partner Ecosystem: You will act as the liaison between the partner and team and facilitating partner resources and processes. Identifying Copilot for Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams Calling, Meetings, Teams Premium, devices, Frontline Worker and Viva skill and resource gaps and providing feedback to internal teams

  • Required/Minimum Qualifications · 5+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experienceo OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experienceo OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experienceo OR equivalent experience.
