EOIS develops, manufactures, and supports infrared and electro-optical solutions for soldiers, ground vehicles and airborne platforms. Summary

As a software engineer you will be work within a team that develops, tests, and maintains a suite of data processing and data viewing tools supporting the development and testing of infrared sensors and systems. You will be part of an integrated software team that is developing new full stack web solutions in a polyglot backend and a React frontend.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for software engineering development for the testing and manufacturing of infrared sensors.

  • Responsible for development of data visualization applications or components.

  • Responsible for adhering to the DRS engineering processes.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain and US DoD clearance as needed, which requires US citizenship.

  • Experience in full stack web development/software engineering.

  • Experience with at least 3 the following technology stack:

  • Front end development with TypeScript/JavaScript (React preferred)

  • Python

  • Kubernetes and/or Docker

  • GRPC

  • Go

  • SQL Server

  • MongoDB or other NoSQL/document DB technologies

  • Experience with source control repositories such as TFS Version Control, Git or SVN.

  • Experience following an Agile/Scrum software engineering process desired.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

  • College level mathematics (calculus, statistics, linear algebra, etc.)

  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and within the framework of a multi-discipline team.

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
