About the Team

The Driver Strategy & Operations team is responsible for managing all aspects of the delivery experience for the drivers (‘Dashers’) operating on our platform. Our mission is to be the preferred platform for anyone looking for flexible work in Australia & New Zealand. We are committed to ensuring a seamless and secure experience for our drivers.

The goal of our team is to ensure every delivery goes well. We prevent problems for drivers by working across Consumer operations, Merchant operations, and our logistics platform.

About the Role

You will oversee safety, onboarding and compliance operations for all Dashers in Australia and New Zealand. You will take the lead in crafting best-in-class operational processes, testing and scaling driver programs that deliver on business goals, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure a market-leading experience for our drivers.

While there is no typical day for our Strategy & Operations roles, you’ll be completing a variety of tasks such as: gathering and analyzing data to root cause issues, building and executing operational plans, measuring compliance with driver safety requirements, and supporting the roll-out of product changes for onboarding drivers.

  • Shape Safety Initiatives: Drive the development and execution of comprehensive programs to sustain a world-class operation, and fostering a culture of safety consciousness.

  • Optimize Onboarding Processes: Oversee the onboarding process for new drivers, continuously refining and improving the experience to streamline operations and enhance driver satisfaction.

  • Navigate Compliance Landscapes: Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry trends, ensuring DoorDash's compliance with all relevant laws and standards in Australia and New Zealand.

  • Build Cross-functional Relationships: Work with many teams like; Legal, Comms, Policy, Product, Engineering, and Analytics to drive strategic initiatives and harness opportunities.

  • Make Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage data and analytics to identify trends, assess performance metrics, and make informed decisions to optimize existing processes or build new ones.

    We're excited about you because you have…

  • 6+ years' experience in consulting, strategy, operations, technology, banking, analytics or related experience

  • Proven analytical skills and can deliver actionable recommendations from complex datasets; advanced Excel skills are a must and familiarity with SQL is preferred (or a strong desire to learn).

  • An operator mindset and enjoy rolling up your sleeves to do whatever it takes to execute, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence key stakeholders.

  • Problem-solving skills that enable you to independently translate a high-level vision into measurable success metrics and actionable plans.
