Job Details The Coordinator will provide administrative support for CH Diabetes Education Program for the employee, hospital and practice based program components by providing patient appointments, answering phone calls and assisting with insurance verification for all American Diabetes Association (ADA) diabetes education program locations, as applicable. Assist in all office workflow functions, oversight, ordering and tracking of diabetes and administrative supplies. The Diabetes Education Administrative Coordinator will oversee the day to day functions as it relates to charge, billing, and reimbursement functions and prepare necessary spreadsheet and reporting as assigned. The Administrative Coordinator will play a vital role in accommodating our patient's needs by providing exemplary customer service. DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES: Ability to handle several priorities simultaneously Ability to work independently Ability to work in EPIC EMR Assists in coordinating the day to day schedules for CDCES Maintains program statistics for visit volume and other metrics Assists in scheduling all diabetes, prediabetes, group class, and insulin pump patients in need of a diabetes education session. Assists in insurance verification for all patients scheduled with a Diabetes Care and Education Specialists in one of our ADA recognized Diabetes Education Center locations. Maintains the Diabetes Education Management Program shared drive Maintains the Catholic Health Employee Diabetes Management Program shared drive Maintains accurate filing/record keeping systems Initiates and tracks to resolution the insurance plan on-boarding of new clinical CDCES staff Assists in charge denials, questions and inquiries Oversees all referral in-baskets created for Care Management, Quality Care Management, CVS, and Inpatient referrals Oversees all provider referrals (Referral 20 and Referral 50) Supports the Catholic Health Pre-Diabetes Program Provides and represents the Catholic Health Diabetes Education Program at Community Events Provides oversight to all clerical staff Provides education and training to all onboarding clerical staff Assists in yearly performance evaluations of clerical staff Participates in monthly unit meetings and provides monthly updates on program operations Participates in all finance and EPIC meetings to ensure continuity in documentation across all PB and HB ADA programs Orders equipment and supplies as needed for the daily function of the diabetes education center programs Maintains excellent communication with internal staff members and with representatives from other departments and outside parties Conducts herself/himself in conformity with all Compliance Assurance Standards Performs related duties as assigned and unrelated duties as requested HIPAA Employee conducts himself/herself in conformity with the HIPAA Compliance Program and applicable institutional policies and procedures for patient privacy. In addition, employee conducts himself/herself in conformity with CH Security Policies and Procedures. POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 3 to 5 years healthcare administrative experience, preferably in a coordinator role. Excellent typing skills Proficient in Word and Excel; Power Point preferred Strong organizational skills Ability to handle matters of a confidential nature Excellent communication skills and detail-oriented Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work well with others and function in a team oriented environment Salary Range USD $28.00 - USD $33.00 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
