Robert Half Senior Accountant in Memphis, Tennessee

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant based in Memphis, Tennessee. This role involves coordinating accounting processes, handling general ledger accounting, tax return preparation, and maintaining compliance with GASB & FASB Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team, managing a variety of tasks related to accounting and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the coordination of the accounting process including Grants, Financial Statement Preparation, Reconciliations, General Ledger Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.

• Maintain accurate and timely preparation of all financial information, operating reports, statistics, and general ledger accounts.

• Handle the accounting aspects of grants, revenue, and taxes, as well as assist with financial statement preparation.

• Adhere to and maintain compliance with GASB & FASB Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and any applicable regulatory standards and requirements.

• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality commensurate with the sensitive information handled in the role.

• Utilize advanced skills in software such as Microsoft Excel, Oracle, SAP, and NetSuite to perform accounting tasks efficiently.

• Perform account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation diligently.

• Prepare and record journal entries as part of the month-end close process.

• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records. Requirements • Proficient in Account Reconciliation

• Experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Skilled in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Strong understanding of General Ledger management

• Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Knowledge of NetSuite software

• Familiarity with Oracle software

• Experience with SAP software

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work

• Proven track record of maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information.
