Summary
As a Senior Project Manager, MHE and Automation, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing facility layouts, leading process improvement projects, and introducing automated solutions to enhance safety, service, and performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IS/IT, DC Operations, Engineering, and solution providers, to ensure seamless integration and execution of projects.
Responsibilities:
Facility Design and Layout: Develop and optimize facility designs to support efficient operations.
Process Improvement Projects: Lead initiatives to introduce automated solutions, improving safety, service, and performance.
Experience with various material handling solutions, including convey and sort, multi-shuttles, pallet layer stripping, etc.
Expertise in all aspects of PLC controls engineering.
Proficiency with Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), Warehouse Execution Systems (WES), and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Define integration points and design interface requirements to ensure seamless system execution.
Design automated solutions for distribution centers.
Collaboration with IS/IT: Partner with IS/IT to develop software solutions supporting process changes and automation integration.
Manage relationships between DC Operations, Engineering, solution providers, and IS/IT.
Develop comprehensive business requirements documentation.
Business Case Development: Create business cases for proposed changes, including financial justification and key performance indicators.
Project Management: Develop and manage project plans, ensuring initiatives are executed on-time, on-budget, and meet requirements.
Additional Responsibilities: Take on additional tasks as assigned to support the success of the team and company.
Requirements
Minimum of 7 years of related experience in project management, specifically in MHE and automation.
Proven track record of successfully leading facility design and process improvement projects.
Strong understanding of material handling solutions and PLC controls engineering.
Experience with WCS, WES, and WMS.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Ability to travel up to 50%
