Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Memphis, Tennessee
Description Robert Half currently has a permanent position open for an experienced Senior Accountant with drive and know-how to join a rapidly-growing team in the Memphis, Tennessee area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Key responsibilities
Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Perform monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Work with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests
Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external
Engage in various department-wide initiatives
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations Requirements - Skilled with ERP systems
Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills
Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Strong attention to detail
Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
Skilled at time management
Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
Month end closings experience desired
