Description
We are offering a contract to hire role for a Bookkeeper role in Menands, New York. As a Bookkeeper, you will have the opportunity to work in a diverse role that includes processing transactions, maintaining financial records, and providing customer service. This role is based in the office and is an integral part of our financial team.
Responsibilities:
• Handle all aspects of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
• Conduct thorough bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records
• Utilize QuickBooks and other industry-specific software for financial transactions
• Perform data entry tasks and maintain accurate customer records
• Assist with the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting
• Process payroll in compliance with company policies and procedures
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally
• Oversee account reconciliation activities to ensure the accuracy of financial data
• Manage the process of cutting checks for vendors
• Maintain a diverse set of bookkeeping skills, as every day is different.
Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Ability to conduct Bank Reconciliations
• Proficiency in Bookkeeping
• Experience with Data Entry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Month End Close
• Knowledge of Payroll procedures
• Proficiency in QuickBooks
