Ellie Mental Health Client Accounts Specialist in Mendota Heights, Minnesota

The Client Accounts Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth and efficient experience regarding client financial concerns and addressing provider questions for our Minnesota Clinics. Associate/bachelor's degree in healthcare billing or administration, accounting, business administration, or similar program, preferred. Working knowledge of health insurance claims balances. Proficiency in medical billing software and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Teams Demonstrates awareness, inclusivity, sensitivity, humility, and experience in working with individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, sexual orientations, gender identities, and other various aspects of culture. Knowledge and understanding of healthcare compliance and HIPAA regulations Responsibilities include: Provides exceptional customer service to clients and providers, regarding statement and insurance questions, via phone, portal, email, and text. Investigate and coordinate eligibility denials in EHR and payer portals. Communicates insurance claims adjudicated process to clients, based on their individual explanation of benefits. Verify client insurance coverage and eligibility. Set payment arrangements with clients per Ellie guidelines. Respond to and resolve provider and clinician questions regarding client balances through the FreshService ticketing system. Contact clients via phone, portal and/or text when payments are missed and for collecting past due balances. Ellie was proudly founded by clinicians on the principle of destigmatizing mental health.
