Robert Half Sr. Information Systems Specialist in Mentor, Ohio

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Systems Administrator in the Professional Services industry, based in Mentor, Ohio, United States. This role involves a range of technical tasks including systems analysis, programming, and maintenance. You will also be responsible for ensuring file integrity, maintaining system balance, and addressing the needs of department users.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting systems analysis to identify areas for improvement and optimization

• Programming using various software and languages, with a focus on Access

• Performing regular maintenance on hardware and software, including PCs

• Providing support to users across the organization, specifically for PC-related issues

• Ensuring security measures are in place and updated, including virus software

• Maintaining the integrity of files, including backup and restoration tasks

• Balancing computer systems to ensure optimal performance

• Designing, developing, testing, and documenting new programs and screens added to the system

• Monitoring system operations periodically to identify potential problems

• Adding new users to the network and company software

• Implementing and maintaining disaster recovery procedures.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Windows OS

• Experience with PC Hardware and Networking

• Familiarity with VPN - Virtual Private Network

• Knowledge of SQL Queries and Report Generation

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning. Requirements • A minimum of three years of experience in a Systems Administrator role or similar within the Professional Services industry.

• Proficient in Windows Operating Systems.

• Solid understanding and experience with PC hardware troubleshooting and repair.

• Expertise in Networking principles and protocols.

• Experience in setting up and managing VPN - Virtual Private Network.

• Demonstrable ability to write and execute SQL queries.

• Proficient in report generation and data analysis.

• Knowledge and experience in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Must be able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
