Technical Writer/Technical Support Specialist

Responsibilities:

· Write, format, edit, review, and proof procedural and technical information for both technical and non-technical users.

· Create and maintain technical documentation including manuals, how-to guides, and FAQs.

· Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.

· Respond to queries either in person or over the phone.

· Work closely with development, QA, and product teams to understand product details and requirements.

· Translate complex product information into simple, polished, and engaging content.

· Revise and update existing documentation as product features evolve.

· Write training manuals and FAQs for end-users.

Qualifications:

· Proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation and as a technical support specialist or similar role.

· Ability to deliver high-quality documentation with attention to detail.

· Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.

· Excellent written and communication skills in English.

· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Adobe Acrobat.

· Basic familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

· Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.

· Customer-oriented and cool-tempered.

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Technical Writing, or a related field is preferred.

· Certifications in technical writing, IT support, or related areas are a plus.

Previous Experience:

· Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in technical writing and/or technical support roles.

· Experience working with cross-functional teams to produce high-quality documentation and provide effective technical support.

· Hands-on experience with various software and hardware troubleshooting.

· Experience in creating user manuals, guides, and FAQs for diverse audiences.

· Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and documentation tools.
