We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Cook to join our team. As a Cook at HealthCare Service Group, you will play a vital role in preparing and serving nutritious meals to residents and patients in our healthcare facilities. Working under the direction of the Dietary Manager, you will contribute to the overall dining experience by creating delicious, well-balanced meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, including entrees, sides, and desserts, according to standardized recipes and portion sizes.
• Adhere to dietary restrictions and special dietary needs, ensuring that meals meet the nutritional requirements of residents and patients.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including proper storage and labeling of food items, as well as regular cleaning of equipment and work areas.
• Monitor food temperatures during preparation and service to ensure food safety and compliance with health regulations.
• Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking food supplies and monitoring food waste to minimize costs.
• Collaborate with dietary staff to develop menus and meal plans that promote resident satisfaction and well-being.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and in-service programs to stay updated on best practices and industry standards.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a cook in a healthcare or hospitality setting preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices, including HACCP principles.
• Ability to follow recipes and prepare meals according to dietary restrictions and special dietary needs.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
