FCP Euro Assistant Manager, Maintenance and Facilities in Mesa, Arizona
FCP Euro is hiring an Assistant Manager, Maintenance and Facilities in Mesa, AZ. The Maintenance AOM will report to the Sr. Manager, Maintenance & Facilities providing tactical and administrative support for a variety of assigned tasks related to equipment preventative maintenance, distribution and material handling technology, facilities upkeep, property cleanliness, utility performance, hardware optimization, building security, key card entry interface, safety, and other company-wide processes. Overall, they will play a major role in keeping all the moving pieces in and around our building operating at reliable, safe, and effective levels. Additional opportunities include physical automation installations, facility expansions, safety compliance and improvements, waste elimination, and operational quality assurance initiatives.

Responsibilities and Duties
Define, document, and execute preventative maintenance schedule for powered industrial trucks (PIT), distribution technology and automation, material handling equipment, building utilities, and other pneumatic or hydraulic items
Maintain and repair facilities including basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical systems; serve as a point of contact with facility vendors as necessary for matters requiring escalation
Create a centralized quality management system related to facilities documentation, not limited to training documents, parts inventory, vendor contact lists, and contracts
Serves as the primary tactical resource for all types of hands-on tasks including but not limited to assembly, disassembly, movement, organization, installation, and cleaning of anything falling into FCP Euro operational purview
Actively researches new technology to keep FCP Euro competitive by attending trade shows, webinars, and other educational events to support and improve the reliability of systems
Accountable for building entry card system, door schedules, and issues and programs key cards, and directly respond to disruptions as necessary including after-hours
Accountable for HVAC system performance, maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. Works with vendors on contract requirements as required
Independently monitor operations queue and disposition requests as they are submitted
Lead and inspire a high-performing AZ facility maintenance and facilities team; developing and coaching for success and career progression as appropriate
Effectively communicates when work or changes are taking place to minimize disruption to office or distribution center staff
Interfaces with cross-functional team members to improve company-wide people, processes, and proficiencies
Provides support in key decision-making alongside executive, leadership, and management teams
Supports and drives facility-wide safety regulatory compliance as it relates to maintenance and facilities to ensure a safe work environment for the broader distribution center team
Documents various processes to create redundancy and can actively make decisions that deviate from that process if it’s the best course of action
Qualifications and Skills
3+ years of general maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair experience within a warehouse or manufacturing environment
Professional certification(s) or progress shown within electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or related areas
Associate degree or relevant experience preferred
Must have prior experience working in a warehouse in maintenance or hands-on technical work
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment; strong attention to detail while maintaining a high degree of accuracy
Demonstrated experience managing a people; ensuring that goals and metrics are being met
Ability to articulate how to properly use machinery, tools, and equipment to diagnose and fix routine problems
Strong communications skills effectively relay ticket status and translate information between employees and vendors, asking the right questions to identify and correct weaknesses
Ability to identify why processes or operations are not working as well as identifying the root cause while offering up solutions for remedy
Possesses a strong observational ability, demonstrates cleanliness, neatness, and “paints behind the cabinet” mentality
Can work around people while maintaining a positive, supportive demeanor
Strong oral and written communication skills
Must be able to lift up to 60+ pounds as necessary
Proficiency in computer applications such as Word, Excel, Gmail required, Google Docs preferred

Compensation
$75,000 - $90,000 depending on experience, with a total compensation opportunity of $80,000 - $96,000 annually.
