The AbbVie International Commercial Business Technology Solutions (BTS) team shapes the digital transformation necessary for our treatments to positively impact patients’ lives. In the role of the Associate Director of Technology Operations, you’ll tackle complex challenges as you develop and diversify your professional experiences while helping others grow and develop their skills.

In this role you’ll be responsible for:

  • Defining and executing a comprehensive technology operations strategy for our commercial international technology products, ensuring the availability of systems per SLA.

  • Lead a team to reimagine operations using new AI technologies and manage the scaling, deploying, and operating of the ecosystem to multiple affiliates and brand teams.

  • Transform management of complex integrated platforms involving multiple technologies, stakeholders and suppliers while interfacing with key commercial BTS leaders to enhance and advance global-scale applications.

  • Lead team of technical experts and portfolio managers who drive International Commercial’s agenda and own various critical incidents and problems across eco system.

  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of eco system, processes and utilizing this insight to influence eco system operations design.

  • Engaging in discussions on various ideas, effectively communicating your operations vision and strategy across the organization.

  • Working closely with stakeholders like Product Owners, Affiliates, Customer Excellence, and engineering teams to understand challenges, and opportunities, to conceive scalable and efficient processes.

  • Establishing criteria for measuring the success and efficiency of eco system operations and overseeing the implementation and ongoing assessment of these metrics.

  • Mentoring and contributing to the talent community at AbbVie, empowering local and cross-functional teams to do their best work.

  • Providing thought leadership and contributing to the development of eco system operations strategies, roadmaps, and best practices.

Qualifications

Experiences that make you a strong candidate for this role:

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree with 10 years’ experience; Master’s degree with 8 years’ experience; PhD with 4 years’ experience.

  • Deep understanding of technology operations management principles and methodologies, with expertise in technology governance, analytics, and product management practices.

  • 5+ years of proven experience in a leadership role within technology product management and operations, with demonstrated success in driving the strategic development and management of multiple products.

  • Prior experience working within a global team/organization and managing global stakeholder expectations.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.

  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, capable of driving initiatives from conception to execution.
