About AbbVie Patient Services Marketing

The AbbVie Patient Services (APS) Marketing Team leads efforts across multiple brands and therapeutic areas to deliver the best possible patient treatment experience and help patients achieve their full treatment plan potential.

Role Overview

This Marketing Manager role reports to the Associate Director of Marketing, APS Innovation and Portfolio, and is responsible for supporting the strategic development and execution of marketing initiatives at scale for the AbbVie Patient Services portfolio. These initiatives include workstreams to optimize processes through innovative tools, identify new capabilities & solutions, provide informed viewpoints on key topics and more. The overarching goal of this team is to advance marketing holistically across Abbvie Patient Services.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate has an understanding of the health care marketplace dynamics including patient and provider user experience and needs, as well as the ability to work in a complex, matrixed environment. The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial spirit and is willing to be nimble, problem solve and adapt based on the ever-evolving needs of APS.

The areas of focus for this role include but are not limited to:

  • Campaign Execution & Evaluation: Plan and execute multi-brand marketing campaigns aligned with the APS portfolio. Partner with Analytics and Business Insights to measure campaign effectiveness and recommend optimizations.

  • Strategic Initiative Support, Development and Optimization: Create, implement and optimize cross-brand initiatives aligned with APS's strategic imperatives and marketing priorities.

  • Project Management: Deliver detailed marketing briefs, develop timelines, and proactively manage potential barriers.

  • Market & Industry Insights: Use market research to define strategic opportunities for engaging patients, providers, and office staff. Identify industry trends and competitive intelligence to optimize patient support programs and marketing initiatives.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration and Partnership: Work with APS colleagues, Medical, Regulatory, Legal, OEC, BTS, and business design teams in partnership for feasibility assessments and comprehensive governance to support new initiatives.

  • Agency Management: Oversee relationships with creative, data, digital, and strategic marketing agencies.

  • Budget Management: Efficiently manage the marketing budget across multiple initiatives and internal/external partners.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong Marketing background: Experienced marketer who has executed successful digital campaigns, optimized workflows and processes, and partnered with internal/external agency teams

  • Differentiated & Creative thinker: Critical thinker, analytical mind, nimble and adaptable, imaginative problem-solving skills

  • Regulated Creative Experience: Familiarity or experience with creative approval processes (MRP) in pharma/healthcare/highly regulated vertical

  • Marketing Campaign Management: Planning, executing, and measuring marketing campaigns across digital channels with actionable insights/next steps

  • Innovation Enthused: Curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging trends, technologies, and ways of working, open to optimizing workflows and incorporating live feedback (agile mindset)

  • Relationship Centric & Collaborative in Nature: Ability to create strong, trusting relationships across organizational levels and maximize partnerships

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in healthcare, pharma, biotech, or diagnostics marketing. Digital marketing experience required.

  • Communication: Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.

  • Agency Management: Experience managing multiple external agencies.

  • Problem-solving: Ability to balance strategy, analysis, creativity, and project scaling.

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. Salary: $117,500 - $223,500
