Emerson Sr. Manufacturing Engineer in MEXICALI, Mexico

Plan, organize and implement all activities related to the design and/or optimization of the company's manufacturing processes, specifically in the areas of manual assembly, testing, inspection, packaging, flow and handling of materials, machining, casting, winding, and others; so that said processes meet or exceed the goals set for Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  1. Launch High complexity programs for High Pressure & High Purity.

  2. Define and execute Manufacturing standards for (CNC programming, Tooling, perishable tools, Routings, etc).

  3. Analyze problems, propose solutions, and provide written instructions when a deviation or modification of a process, material, or specification is required.

  4. Ensure compliance with procedures, standards and specifications established in the quality management system and by the EHS department related to your position.

  5. Develop improvement projects to make processes and/or products more efficient, as well as reduce waste and costs.

  6. Hold information meetings on the status of the department, projects and future plans.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Shown experience in manual and automated manufacturing processes

  • B.S. or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Electromechanical, Industrial Engineering or related.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

  • Strong problem-solving capability.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work on several projects in parallel in a fast-paced environment.

  • Interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal skills to facilitate effective communication of technical ideas.

  • Excellent analytical skills and oriented to results achievement.

  • Ensure that all work stays in sync with Company procedures and standards and is carried out efficiently within agreed timescales.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Experience in Continuous Improvement Projects (Kaizen)

  • High experience in the use of problem-solving tools (Pareto analysis, 5 Why's, 6 Sigma, A3s,)

  • CNC Programming for main manufacturers (Mazak, Okuma, Hass)

  • Experienced on launching new products for Fabrication areas

  • Centralize programs and databases for all CNC’s at Fabrication areas (DNC)

  • Knowledge of the requirements and foundations of the ISO 9000:2015 certification.

  • Basic knowledge of Safety, Ergonomics and accident prevention concepts.

  • Relevant industry experience with a proven track record of handling system design, implementation, and factory/site acceptance test phases of projects (process automation, systems and instrumentation)

  • Experience using software/applications (Oracle, MS office, Solid Edge, Project)
