Context

The Role

The Head of Commercial Finance will lead commercial and financial insights to help drive business performance. This Head will be a key leader within the Brazil & Mexico Finance team and will serve as a crucial financial interface between Finance and senior leadership. This position directly reports to the LAC Commercial Finance Director and will play a meaningful role in improving the Commercial Finance organization with streamlined processes and capabilities to enable the company's strategy.

This Head will be responsible for delivering forward-looking, valuable business analysis, as well as defining and reporting significant financial and operational metrics that lead to insightful, accurate business decision-making. They will directly coordinate the commercial finance regional team and have indirect oversight over FP&A and the in-market commercial finance organization. This team will possess a comprehensive understanding of all key business drivers and sophisticated financial models to deliver insightful, valuable analysis across the company. The Head of Commercial Finance Brazil & Mexico is also responsible for leading the company-wide strategic planning process through the 3-year plan.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Commercial Finance & FP&A team in the markets, partnering with the Market´s Commercial Finance team to provide valuable insight into the business.

  • Enable the 3YP process through clear, concise plan and commitments for process calendar, LAC President updates, and hands on support to business leads and initiatives.

  • Prepare a monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting package that includes consolidated financial statements, comprehensive Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting, operational dashboard reporting, analysis of key business trends, actual versus budget/forecast variances and comprehensive executive level explanations of differences.

  • LAC Resource allocation TS, A&P and OVHDS

  • Lead transformational and ad-hoc financial projects.

  • Elevate the capability of the entire regional commercial finance Organization.

  • Business partner with General Manager to deliver financial and commercial AOP goals

  • Have deep understanding of business drivers to identify areas of risk and opportunities and build plans to mitigate/attack.

  • Partner with NRM lead to imbed NRM best practices and deliver pricing targets

  • Analyze profitability and trends of market portfolio in order to lead our mix to deliver NSV/GP targets

  • Understand volume trends in order to provide objective viewpoint on volume projections for S&OP and innovation builds

Requirements

  • 10 or more years of dynamic experience in Finance and Strategic Planning

  • Strong critical thinking and results orientation with a track record of meeting or exceeding business objectives.

  • Track record of enabling the business to deliver on revenue growth demonstrating data-based insight of consumer and customer behavior.

  • Proven executive presence and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to positively influence senior leadership.

  • Ability to operate as a vital team member and inspiring leader in driving, defining andrivingng the company's financial planning strategy and can give to delivering value to business teams.

  • Strong demonstration of ability to successfully manage and lead a team and create an engaging environment.

  • Aspires to build a 'best in class' commercial finance organization by introducing industry best practices and recruiting/developing the best talent possible. Quality and results are always top of mind. Demonstrates a passion for talent development.
