Your New Role

Reporting to the Title – Unified Communications and Global Events, the Sr. UC Engineer is responsible to ensure all AV, VTC and Phone issues are supported, manage in-house AV equipment in conference rooms, handles TV (IPTV) systems within office, main contact for major event preparation, Zoom Phone management, and technical operation for all live events. The person is expected to be highly self-motivated, organized and work under a variety of conditions for very high-level WBD customers. This role will also provide guidance and design recommendations for all Warner Bros. Discovery offices, purchase necessary equipment, install, and provide ongoing support. Customer service is a top priority for this position.

Your Role Accountabilities

OPERATIONS/PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Project/production management of WBD in-house live events such as Global Town Halls, conferences, screenings, and "VIP" presentations. Utilizing our own audio and video equipment, microphone and speaker systems, projection, and video monitoring, provide all A/V related functions for in-house events. As required, provide expertise to the end user about capabilities of our systems; manage the A/V portion of the event; as well as staging and lighting set up.

  • Act as a liaison to Corporate Communications for in-house events or advising external vendors Assist in establishing and coordinating the project plan for migration of the project into production.

  • Provide 2nd Tier customer support to end users for conference room and high-end specialty room viewing/screening equipment.

  • Schedule and monitor VTC meetings ensuring there are not issues when the meeting is launched. Provide immediate support for in-room meetings via the VTC Hotline.

  • Operate and maintain all formats of broadcast and consumer A/V equipment and provide expertise to the end user for desktop A/V equipment.

  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, repair, and replace Audio-Visual systems & equipment for both users and with-in conference rooms.

  • Aid in development and documentation of UC standards ensuring all specialized rooms are maintained, IPTV and Phone systems are operational, and overall quality of building is maintained using both internal and external resources.

  • Provide support with the sourcing of UC equipment for offices and upgrades of current equipment.

  • Monitor timely resolution of client requests for repair and service as assigned through internal software tools such as Service Now (SNOW).

Qualifications & Experience

  • College degree preferred or seven years minimum experience in UC support role is a must

  • Minimum 7-10 years of prior experience in a related field.

  • Experience with audio-visual conference room/presentation equipment required. HDMI interface from Mac and PC .

  • Experience with live event set up, staging and production required. Experience with microphone systems, Public Address (PA) speaker systems, audio mix boards, video conferencing technology, video camera and lighting.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Experience with video encoding systems and webcasting using Workplace, Zoom Webinar and/or Livestream.

  • Experience with Cable TV and IPTV systems.

  • Ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • VoIP (Zoom & Avaya) knowledge and implementation experience.

  • Experience working in a national or global company is desirable

  • Thorough background in SBC Configuration and Management is nice to have

  • Comfortable in working in highly iterative and somewhat unstructured environment
