General Summary:

The Production and Asset Management Manager is responsible for the flow media management and operations assets for the original productions in the Latin America region and US Hispanic. Developing, establishing, building and maintaining operational processes that serve as the foundation the asset management tool and its effectiveness across all clients. Build strong relations with producers, sales planners, It teams and external vendor responsible for the quality control and the delivery of Assets.

This position reports to the Production and Asset Management Executive Director in Miami office.

Responsibilities:

Support Executive Director in supervising production process in all stages of production and asset management, such as: production, postproduction, client onboarding, master delivery through to broadcast.

40% Manage all operations processes for the flow of distribution of episode masters to clients for broadcast and license compliance of the original production.

  • Responsible for operations management and reliability of our digital master workflow onboarding clients, analysis of technical specifications, identifying transcode needs and test file approvals.

  • Point of contact distribution team and clients and during program master delivery, technical evaluation, tracking of fixes and approvals.

  • Meets with distribution team on an ongoing basis to review contract signature status, licensee start dates and client onboarding needs.

  • Supervises first client delivery process and timelines based on product availability, postproduction status and contractual license requirements.

  • Creates and analyze program master file creation workflows and file naming convention guidelines for post-production and DCT teams as needed per production.

30% Support Executive Director in Production & Asset Management process for Latam original productions:

  • Analyze of workflows to identify efficiencies by researching potential software, databases or workflow changes for implementation potential (i.e. Scenechronize, Runner integration with other databases, credit approval project, streamlining of onboarding and delivery process, etc…).

  • Supervise that all assets are saved on time into the Sony system.

  • Create weekly assets reports and statistics.

  • Supports Executive Director of department in follow through of post plans and ensuring all elements needed to deliver a completed episode to QC and clients are fulfilled.

  • Assist the Executive Director to ensure execution of post-production and client delivery schedule.

  • Ensure the producers in the region are provided with, understand and comply with Sony deliverable requirements, trouble shoots deliverables questions as needed.

  • Manage meetings with key production team members as needed on production status and any creative or technical elements which may impact product availability and fiscal year goals.

  • Oversees music cue sheet creation process related to music for a series.

  • Supervise all processes related with the music cue sheet acts as point of contact between Sony Bogotá Post and music team and Music Group in Los Angeles on cue sheet approvals, confirmation of publishers and final filing of cue sheets for a series.

30% Manage quality control process in ensuring productions meet technical specifications and comply with quality control standards for distribution to clients:

  • Coordinates field camera test with local producers, director of photography, and post team to ensure compliance of Sony tech specs an identify any potential QC issues.

  • Coordinates test file evaluation with QC vendor to ensure compliance of Sony tech specs prior to beginning technical evaluation for a series.

  • Communicates with internal groups (i.e. Sony Electronics) to trouble shoot technical issues which may arise in production for feedback and implementation of workflow changes as needed.

  • Supports Executive Director in supervising quality control approval process as point of contact between QC vendor and post production teams.

  • Reviews QC reports, analyzes fail points and communicates potential issues which can impact client delivery for approval by Executive Director.

  • Communicates QC approval status, delivery dates, projections and potential delays on a daily basis to post production manager and QC vendor.

  • Reports monthly statistics on QC episode approvals and client deliveries to SPE and Teleset Finance teams.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Solid understanding of the TV production process for Scripted and Unscripted program

  • Strong level in system-based storage, Media asset management and cloud solutions (Runner, Ci Media Cloud, Smartsheet, Share point, Wrike).

  • Good working with systems; Proficient in PPT and Excel (analysis of production, postproduction data/statistics).

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.

  • Strong ability to manage several projects, all in varying stages of the process.

  • Able to prioritize well and meet strict deadlines

  • Passionate about the role / Self-motivated

  • Impeccable attention to detail, as well as organization and follow up skills

  • Flexible individual who is effective working in a team, as well as independently

  • Strong level of communication and interpersonal skills

  • Understanding and respect for different cultures

  • Fluency in reading, writing and speaking Spanish and English; Portuguese a plus

Experience: 7 years TV Production experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree is required.
