The SCCC department is seeking a Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Manager that will lead and coordinate research efforts for the Neuroendocrine Tumor Program, driving scientific advancements and fostering collaboration across multiple stakeholders. The program's goal is to improve the lives of patients with Neuroendocrine cancer by increasing access to novel therapies and clinical trials.Key Responsibilities:1. Scientific Writing and Grant Management:

  • Write and prepare abstracts, research papers, and grant applications to support neuroendocrine cancer research initiatives.

  • Collaborate with researchers and clinicians to develop compelling proposals and secure funding for research projects.

  1. Clinical Trial Development:
  • Work closely with stakeholders, including clinicians, researchers, and industry partners, to develop clinical trial protocols for investigator-initiated studies in neuroendocrine cancers.

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and ethical guidelines in clinical trial design and implementation.

  1. Industry Partnerships:
  • Liaise with industry partners in the neuroendocrine cancer field to establish and maintain collaborative relationships.

  • Identify potential opportunities for collaborative research projects and clinical trials with industry partners.

  1. Research Collaboration and Problem-Solving:
  • Foster collaborative relationships with researchers within and outside the institution to facilitate multidisciplinary research projects.

  • Identify and address challenges in neuroendocrine cancer research, proposing innovative solutions and strategies.

  1. Conference Participation and Knowledge Dissemination:
  • Attend and present at neuroendocrine cancer conferences and scientific meetings to share research findings and advancements.

  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in neuroendocrine cancer research and bring back new knowledge to the program.

  1. Program Growth and Visibility:
  • Serve as the point of contact for expanding the research portfolio and growing the overall stature of the Neuroendocrine Tumor Program on the research front.

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the program's visibility and reputation in the neuroendocrine cancer research community.

  1. Laboratory Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with laboratory personnel and scientists to facilitate and support laboratory-based research related to neuroendocrine cancers.

  • Coordinate the exchange of information, data, and resources between clinical and laboratory teams.

​This position requires a combination of strong scientific expertise, exceptional writing and communication skills, and the ability to foster collaboration across various disciplines and stakeholders.Department Specific Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in health science required, and a master's degree preferred.Experience: A minimum of three years of relevant experience is required. Experience in writing manuscript, reviewing clinical trial protocols is preferred.Additional Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in scientific writing, including publications and grant proposals.

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in neuroendocrine tumor research and clinical trials.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and relevant research software/tools.
