Position Summary:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

Boeing Distribution Services (BDSI ) is seeking a Commercial Business Program Manager (K Level) for theProgram Solutions Team. In this role, the focus will be on managing several functional areas that make up our program solutions team, including this teams support of proposals, implementations, production support, process improvement, analysis and reporting.

In this role, you will support Leadership with program management of critical business changes that have been initiated to make the company stronger, more competitive and more resilient for the long term. These projects are directly aligned as a key part of Boeing’s Business Transformation efforts. The long-term focus of this team, and this manager will be to build and expand the capabilities of this team to drive value to both Boeing and our customers.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing business management activities for several different functional groups and providing expertise to the business in services like bin management, kitting and vending.

  • Draft and implement a strategy to create a competitive advantage for Boeing in the selected markets by utilizing this program solutions team

  • Provide strategy and tactical support to the program solutions team, who visits both internal and external customer sites to help formulate an appropriate solution for all parties.

  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.

  • Continue the current effort of cross training across functional areas and subject matter experts to ensure business continuity in the future.

  • Provide support and strategy on the SAP project efforts being managed by this team

  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

  • Establishes Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) program goals and establishes a PMBP improvement plan.

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • 8-10 years of related work experience

  • 5+ years of experience working with internal and external customers

  • 5+ years of experience with schedule and budget management

  • 5+ years of experience working with Senior Leaders/Executives to establish strategic plans and objectives to meet/exceed LRBP

  • 1+ years of experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects, transactions or initiatives.

  • 3+ years of experience collaborating with sales, marketing, supply chain, contracts and/or operations (Engineering, Production, Maintenance, etc.).

  • Experience with execution of program planning to ensure cost, schedule and technical baseline requirements are met

  • Ability to travel 30%

  • Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) Business Administration, Engineering, or Related Field of Study

  • Experience working in a cross functional environment

  • Keen ability to foster and build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

  • Experience with developing and delivering presentations to Senior Leaders

  • Experience using critical business and financial acumen in order to influence and shape strategy.

  • Ability to build an environment of inclusion, transparency and trust.

  • Exceptional people skills with proven ability in change management and leading an innovative, collaborative growth-oriented culture with an embedded foundation of quality and safety.
