Description
Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk in the Middlesex, NJ area. This role entails managing incoming payments on behalf of the company, ensuring the organization receives appropriate compensation for the goods or services it has provided, requires a strong understanding of the billing process, financial software or databases, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with high attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Processing and recording transactions
Maintaining records regarding payments and account statuses
Regularly updating clients' data, including contact information
Resolving billing or customer credit issues
Facilitating payment of invoices due by sending reminders and contacting clients
Reconciling the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and correctly posted
Creating and maintaining reports relating to accounts receivable
Ensuring that all transactions comply with financial policies and procedures
Requirements
2+ years' experience in Accounts Receivable.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Excellent proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel, and familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar.
Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate and detailed financial records.
Strong mathematical skills for calculations and financial figures.
