The Clinical Research Group within Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Project Manager III with responsibility for the direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of projects, while remaining aligned with the strategy, commitments and goals of the organization. This individual also leads workshops at the site crafted to meet or exceed the key performance indicators such as revenue, EBITA, right-first-time (quality), and timely delivery. This individual should be a strong leader with highly developed communication, organizational change, influencing, project management, and presentation skills
A day in the life:
Plan, implement, and drive projects and workshops for internal and/or external clients
Define tasks and required resources
Manage project budget
Lead organizational change
Acquire and allocate project resources
Build schedule for project or event timeline
Monitor adherence to the schedule
Support and direct team
Monitor, control, and report on project and event progress in a visually appealing manner
Present reports to collaborators on progress as well as issues and potential solutions
Implement and lead change when necessary to meet results
Evaluate and assess result of projects and events
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in technical field
Experience:
Minimum of 2+ years in a highly regulated industry (pharmaceutical, food, aerospace, automotive).
1-2 years implementing LEAN tools and methodology
3 - 5 years in project management leading cross functional projects
PMP certification, preferred
Prosci certification, preferred
In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
