We are seeking an experienced procurement abd supply chain individual to oversee, optimize, and manage the sourcing and purchasing of materials for our client in Middletown, CT. The ideal candidate will possess a well rounded understanding of procurement methods, along with proficiency in mathematical modeling and Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) tools to ensure efficient stock replenishment and inventory management.
salary: $85,000 - $95,000 per year

Responsibilities
Manage purchasing, scheduling, and inventory
Coordinate with schedulers, management, and MRP systems to assess raw material needs
Direct material procurement, assess vendors, and negotiate terms for quality, price, and delivery
Maintain procurement records and address defective goods with quality control and vendors
Streamline production, review inventory, and forecast purchasing needs
Negotiate global acquisitions, monitor supplier relationships, and manage risk
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and effective communication
Track and expedite deliveries, resolve discrepancies
Collaborate with suppliers to implement sustainable procurement practices
Utilize data analysis tools to optimize inventory levels and reduce carrying costs
Implement a 30-day warehouse inventory turnover program
Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive procurement information
Adhere to legal, accounting, and purchasing regulations
Analyze market trends and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly
Manage complex bill-of-materials inventory accurately
Research, evaluate, and monitor supplier performance
Participate in physical inventories and engage in professional development activities
Report safety hazards promptly and maintain consistent attendance
Be prepared to undertake additional tasks as assigned by supervisor
Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in responding to changing business needs and priorities
