About you and this role
Dowhas an exciting opportunity for anAssociate Business Finance Director! This position can be located in Midland, MI or Houston, TX.
You will provide leadership to a global or regional Business Finance Team and develop plans of execution to ensure alignment with operational long-term strategy for the business. You will provide financial counseling for strategic implementation, economic evaluation, and business analysis and direct major finance activities, especially strategic and financial counsel, for a regional business team or a moderately sized global business.
It is your responsibility to be able to identify and resolve complex operational and organizational problems and leverage the appropriate resources within or outside your discipline or functional area. You will need to be able to lead a large team or multiple related teams and develop plans of execution to ensure alignment with long-term operational strategy. Your performance impacts your discipline's results by supporting and funding projects, products, services, and/or technology and is guided by business plans for your function.
Responsibilities
P&SP Segment Business Finance Capital Leader
CoPilot of P&SP segment M&E / Capital and BEMS Director
Partner with P&SP leadership and business finance analysts to evaluate strategic capital projects, leases, and large contracts including sustainability related projects
Coordinate globally all economic evaluations for strategic capital investments for the segment
Work directly with Strategic Planning as the P&SP segment steward of all Capital Plan Forecast that must be submitted to Corporate – this is done with BEMS director
Coordinate and lead economic evaluation for capital projects, leases, and contracts – global P&SP business and Americas Olefins & Aromatics and Energy
Coordinate, train, and coach business analysts across the segment on economic evaluations including capital projects, leases and contract modeling
Engage with Strategic Planning to focusing on discussing, implementing, and leveraging best practices with regards to capital, leases, and contract approval guidelines, along with economic evaluations, this is facilitated through frequent economic evaluation committee meetings across the different businesses within Dow
Business Finance Director for Olefins (Global) and Energy (Americas)
Coordinate the long-term forecast for feedstocks, energy and monomer prices (Long Term Hydrocarbon Values or LTHVs)
Oversee, update, and further enhance the Global Olefins Economic Model that analyzes the global cash costs of all ethylene producing assets
Manage / coordinate business insights and act as IR focal point by collecting, writing and coordinating quarterly prompts
Collaborate with the business and other functions on all aspects of the compliance in the contract routings and provide annual training for the H&E business
Finance focal point for business contracts and lease analyses globally
Leadership over 4 direct reports
Qualifications
A minimum of a bachelor's degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking
A minimum of 10 years of relevant working experience
A minimum requirement for this position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process

Engaging People - ability to understand the environment in which one is operating, the ability to gather intelligence and understand others
Analytical Thinking - ability to break down a complex situation into its parts, identify key issues and use logic and critical thinking to solve problems
Strategic Thinking - ability to apply an intentional and rational thought process that focuses on the analysis of critical factors and variables that will influence the long-term success of the business.
