DuPont Performance Building Solutions is an industry leader of innovative building envelope products to support the residential and commercial construction markets. To meet new and exciting challenges in a fast-growing and dynamic environment, an opportunity has arisen for a 12-week summer internship in either Midland, MI or Wilmington, DE with travel opportunities. Successful candidates will be assigned a technical, sales, and/or marketing project addressing a key segment of the building industry. The position is intended to provide interns growth and skill refinement opportunities ranging from building science and engineering to business and sales.
The role
The focus of this internship is to fully research a key market segment, develop strategic actions, and share the findings with the broader organization. Projects are designed to promote engagement with building industry professionals and internal functions. Interns will be assigned a mentor for the summer. A successful candidate will:
Develop creative solutions to address key building industry needs through out-of-the-box and critical thinking skills.
Demonstrate sound building science knowledge with an emphasis on building envelope design and construction best practices.
Resolve issues on construction projects by holistically defining the problem, gathering, measuring, and analyzing the appropriate data, and developing effective solutions consistent with the results of the data.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, technical, R&D, and customer service to understand influences and factors associated with market conditions.
Requirements
Sophomore, junior, or senior in Architectural Engineering or similar engineering program with an emphasis in building and constructionfrom an ABET accredited program
Minimum cumulative overall GPA of 3.00 / 4.00
