Dow is looking for aSenior Tax Technology Manager,based in Midland, USA or São Paulo, Brazil, who can manage the solution lifecycle for Tax. This journey requires a skilled professional with practical experience in creating project and operational strategy and leading cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will be in charge of a variety of technical processes and procedures that require job-related training and extensive on-the-job experience to perform different work assignments. This includes an ability to develop solid product, business, and transformation roadmap and to drive technology initiatives that optimize operational impact with minimal resource costs. The successful candidate must also have proven skills in explaining insights clearly, identifying areas of improvement, and implementing cultural, behavioral, and process changes to enable transformation at scale and speed for the Tax Function.

Responsibilities:

  • This position is directly responsible for Support the tax and finance departments with various technology projects. Serving as liaison between Tax and IT

  • Support the strategy to create solutions for Global Tax regions.

  • Lead end-to-end technical project management for multiple projects while finalizing deliverables within stringent deadlines, quality, and budget parameters.

  • Build strong relationships with Tax and IT leaders by meeting their technical and business needs while serving as a trusted advisory to connect Tax and IT.

  • Work with IT and other teams across functions to enable smooth automation of Tax Technology tools, such as: Collaboration platform (Microsoft SharePoint, Power Automate, Power BI), SAP, OneSource, Alteryx, Analytics@Dow, and other tools related to Tax.

  • Collect business needs and translate them into overall system Setup and configurations (SAP/Alteryx/SharePoint etc )

  • Create functional designs and documentation for system design.

  • Work with key people (internally and externally) to understand specific needs that may be required for the project.

  • Develop functional and technical requirements documents. Work with development team to make sure requirements and functionality are tested and deployed.

  • Assists the tax technology team, overseeing the day-to-day tasks, and also acting as an informal mentor who provides guidance and directions.

  • May perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, I/T, or other related business/technology degree is required

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience

  • Have prior experience in Supporting the strategy for developing tax automation solutions.

  • Ability to clearly communicate to both technical (IT/Tax) teams and executive management.

  • Knowledge of SAP and OneSource Indirect Tax

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI)

  • Knowledge of Excel/Macros

  • Has previous experience leading the ERP features, such as data transfer, system integration, vendor collaboration, or developing/testing modifications/enhancements to core functions.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English.

  • The ability to work legally in the country for which you are applying. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of Alteryx

  • Previous experience working with various levels of management and external clients.

  • Has previously guided and supported a team (even without formal authority) in their daily activities.

  • Working on Tax Change / Government Tax systems (implementing Electronic Invoice …)

  • Previous experience gathering and documenting business requirements, business processes, functional design and/or user interface design information.

  • Has worked with UiPath or a similar platform (e.g. Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, etc.) on various RPA projects from start to finish.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and diverse stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as creativity and innovation.

  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Interest and curiosity in tax technology trends and developments.

  • Having expertise in AI solutions is an advantage.

  • Some travel may be necessary for this position.
