Description/Job Summary The Life Skills Supervisor manages the Life Skills Coaches in order to ensure that support and services are consistently provided according to agency, organization, County, State and MCO policies, procedures and regulations. The Life Skills Supervisor also acts as part of the management team and coordinates his staff's interactions with other disciplines, such as nursing, intake, and therapy. Responsibilities/Duties 1. Support the cooperative work between direct care professionals and clinicians to ensure that PIR's services are provided according to policies and procedures. 2. Schedule and coordinate Life Skills Coaches job assignments to support Program Services (such as Life Skills sitting in on clinical groups). 3. Work cooperatively with medical staff to ensure that the medical needs of PIRs are followed up on and supported in a timely fashion. 4. Identify, manage and engage available resources to support meeting PIR's programmatic needs. 5. Identify programmatic needs as well as suggestions for resolutions that will be discussed during weekly supervision. 6. Manage, set expectations and assign tasks to Life Skills Coaches for the support of PIR's in their completion of work therapy goals. 7. Complete a weekly walk through of the physical plant and report repair needs to the Fiscal Administrator. 8. Manage and monitor household supplies required for the operation of the program. 9. Maintain and manage in consultation with the Unit Director, the staff bi-weekly work schedule so that shifts are covered and program needs are supported. 10. Work cooperatively as a member of the management team of CORE 11. Any and all tasks assigned by the Unit Director Required Experience While this is an entry level supervisory position, supervisory or leadership experience is preferred. Experience in a Substance Abuse Recovery setting is also preferred. Required Education High School Diploma/GED. Bachelors degree or higher in human services preferred Required Qualifications Valid Drivers License Background checks, including FBI, if residence is or has been outside of PA. Ability to use computers for documentation. Program Summary RHD CORE Beaver County is a 39 bed facility providing withdrawal management, and short and long term residential services.
