Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Midland, Texas
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in Midland, Texas. The individual will join a team within the telecom industry and will be responsible for various accounting functions including accounts payable, data entry, and handling software such as QuickBooks, Open Invoice, and Excel.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and process accounts payable
• Perform data entry tasks with high accuracy
• Utilize software tools such as QuickBooks, Open Invoice, and Excel to complete accounting tasks
• Engage in account reconciliation to ensure accurate records
• Handle accounts receivable and billing duties
• Process invoices efficiently and accurately
• Utilize Oracle and SAP for various accounting functions
• Leverage QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Pro, and QuickBooks Enterprise for financial management
• Handle Open Invoice and Ariba for invoice processing
• Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive financial information. Requirements • Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or similar role within the finance sector
• Proficiency in the use of account reconciliation tools and methods
• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
• Proficient in billing and invoice processing procedures
• Strong data entry skills with an emphasis on accuracy and efficiency
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP and other relevant finance software
• Experience with Quickbooks Online, QuickBooks Pro, and QuickBooks Enterprise
• Familiarity with Open Invoice and Ariba systems
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• High level of integrity and confidentiality
• Relevant degree or qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field would be advantageous.
