Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Midland, Texas

Description We are in search of a meticulous and diligent Accounting Clerk to join us in Midland, Texas. The primary role of this position is to ensure the smooth running of our financial operations by effectively managing revenue, processing payments, and reconciling invoices. This role involves a high level of interaction with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and requires competencies in various accounting software.

Responsibilities:

• Execute Accounts Payable transactions accurately and on time.

• Gather necessary data and information regarding vendor invoices and clarify any questionable items.

• Accurately process Accounts Receivable invoices, and engage with management over any issues that arise.

• Maintain accounting ledgers as required, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Undertake the reconciliation of payroll by verifying accuracy through comparison of Accounts Receivable tickets with payroll software and confirming that posted paid time off is eligible and accurate.

• Perform various accounting and clerical tasks to support the Accountant, Accounting Supervisor, and Accounting Manager.

• Assist management with other projects as needed, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.

• Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Data Entry, Invoice Processing, Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to complete tasks efficiently and accurately. Requirements • Prior experience in the role of an Accounting Clerk or a similar position for at least one year

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation

• Knowledge and experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Billing procedures

• Proficient in Data Entry tasks

• Experience in Invoice Processing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Oracle software

• Knowledge and experience with QuickBooks

• Familiarity with SAP software

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent organizational skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Good communication skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is considered a plus.
