Your Role

The Country Tax Manager will be responsible for managing all tax-related activities within the country. This includes ensuring compliance with local tax laws, optimizing tax planning and strategies, providing guidance on tax matters to the business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax management, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will also be responsible for managing relationships with external service providers, ensuring high quality direct and indirect tax compliance services, transfer pricing, international tax compliance and tax accounting services. The candidate will manage a team of 2 employees, will interact with the company Knowledge Center and the Global Tax Team.

Your Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all tax compliance and reporting requirements for Direct and Indirect Tax ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.

  • Calculate the current and deferred income tax and prepare the tax reporting for quarterly and annual closing.

  • Prepare and review the Local Transfer pricing documentation and DAC6 procedures in alignment with the Corporate Tax Manager and external advisors.

  • Find and implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures and maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process.

  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company.

  • Prepare and review tax returns and other required documentation.

  • Liaise with tax authorities and manage tax audits and disputes.

  • Support preparation of Statutory FS.

  • Provide tax advice and support to various departments within the company.

  • Collaborate with external tax advisors and consultants as needed.

  • Conduct tax risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management, preferably within a multinational corporation.

  • In-depth knowledge of local and international tax laws and regulations.

  • Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills.

  • Strong knowledge of tax law, compliance and procedures for International Companies and Familiarity with state and local reporting requirements.

  • Strong experience with a variety of tax operations and ability to drive process improvements.

  • Strong ability to utilize project management and accounting best practices to organize and prioritize tasks and the tasks of other tax team members.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Fluent in English and Italian
