The Cigna Group Associate Director Client Management in Milano, Italy
As a senior role in the International Organisations Client Management Team, you will manage a
team of Client Managers, and an assigned key/strategic segment of the International Organisations
(IO) client portfolio (e.g. United Nations, UNICEF, World Bank, etc...). You will deliver planned
persistency, rate action, profitability targets and growth, by fully developing and strengthening those
relationships to identify and progress opportunities to expand existing relationships, both with
clients and partners, in line with the divisional strategy.
The Role:
Reporting to the Director of Client Management, you will be responsible for a team of
(Senior) Client Managers who each manage their own client portfolio.
In addition to this, you will be developing strategic relationships with key senior contacts
within an assigned portfolio of International Organisations, delivering client focussed and
flawlessly executed solutions to meet client’s strategic goals and grow the Cigna business.
Exhibit a strategic approach to evolving and continually developing our Value Proposition to
expand Cigna’s market share and support the Company’s plans for growth.
Deliver succinct but insightful responses and resolutions to all manner of issues, and be able
to interact with clients at HR and procurement to Director/Decision maker level and beyond.
Take ownership of strategic Client Management related projects and liaise internally with all
concerned departments to set up efficient processes and procedures as part of our service
delivery.
Main Duties / Responsibilities:
Management, training and development of International Client Managers, leading them to
achieving their individual and key business goals and fostering a growth mindset.
Set the standard by providing high end client management for an own portfolio of flagship
clients.
Work with the Director of Client Management and other internal functions to develop and
deliver a coherent renewal, profitability and growth strategy in order to achieve key business
goals.
Develop strategic relationships with senior contacts within assigned global and regional
Cigna Healthcare IOH Client base to support their strategic objectives and grow the Cigna
business.
Work together with Director of Client Management and other management leads across the
business to ensure that the Client Management processes are appropriately executed and
that documentation (reports etc) are of the highest quality.
Participate in cross-departmental strategic working groups; present ideas and solutions
based on customers’ strategic goals to senior leaders, sales leaders and peers to continually
develop Cigna’s value proposition and strategic business goals
Liaise with key internal functions across different departments to deliver required financial
results and help achieve excellent client satisfaction.
Propose, champion and be the subject matter expert for related projects that affect the
global client portfolio.
Identify and facilitate growth opportunities within the team’s clients portfolio.
Experience Required:
5 years insurance or relationship management in Employee Benefits, Financial Services or
Consulting, preferably in an international context (ideally with International Organisations)
Experience of leading a team/key projects in a Sales and/or Client Management environment
focused on growth
Experience of working with multiple stakeholders (internal/external), strategically managing
multi-level relationships
Experience of working and interacting within a high performing, multi-located team
