Role Summary: The Center Director at The Goddard School - Milton will have the exciting opportunity to work with the leadership team and educators to create a positive and engaging learning environment. This individual will be responsible for leading and supporting the admin team, grooming educators and collaborating with parents and other team members to ensure children's developmental needs are met. This is a full-time, individual contributor role located in Milton, Massachusetts with a competitive salary, bonus and other benefits. Responsibilities: * Maintain accurate records per MA state licensing and Goddard Systems requirements including children & faculty files, medication & allergy binders, etc. * Understand, implement and comply with Goddard’s Quality Assurance and Health & Safety procedures/policies * Plan, oversee and implement core education and enrichment curriculum and summer camps * Maintain appropriate staffing levels per school & state policies and support educators as needed * Plan, schedule and lead teacher observations, training, coaching and orientation * Establish a positive and productive relationships with families and educators * Lead/support staff recruitment and complete periodic reviews including 90 day, annual and other as needed * Prepare periodic reports including enrollment, payroll, supplies, inventory, etc. * Support and oversee school operations including supplies, maintenance & repairs, budgets, trainings, etc. * Support school marketing tasks including conducting tours, maintaining communication boards, leads follow up, enrollments, etc. * Prepare weekly, daily and break schedules per center needs and in compliance with state and Goddard requirements * Oversee and support classroom functions and operations including daily reports, pictures, Portfolios, etc. * Communicate appropriately and professionally with both parents and fellow staff members * Collaborate with other team members to plan and participate in school events and activities * Follow all health and safety guidelines set by the school and state regulations * Participate in recommended training programs, conferences and other aspects of professional development * Other tasks and projects as assigned Requirements: * A 2 or 4 year degree in Early Childhood Education or related field * Previous admin/leadership and teaching experience in a childcare or educational setting * EEC D II Certification * Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children and adults * Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively * Availability to work between the hours of 7:00am - 6:00pm Benefits: * Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance * PTO * 401K Retirement Plan * Education Reimbursement * Professional & Career Advancement and Coaching * Referral and Performance Bonus * Tuition and Other Discounts General Qualifications: Meet state qualifications and those set forth in the national hiring standards including- * Ability to hear the conversational voice, with or without a hearing aid * Ability to see and read newsprint, with or without corrective lenses * Ability to speak and be understood under normal circumstances * Ability to lift and carry children and other items weighing up to 50 pounds * Ability to use arms, hands, legs, and feet, with or without corrective devices; this includes the ability to evacuate the building during emergencies * Ability to handle crisis situations, especially where children are involved * Ability to respond immediately to emergency situations EEOC Statement: The Goddard School - Milton is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability status, veteran status, marital status, citizenship status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other characteristic protected by law.
